Slack App Setup

Enterprise workspace collaboration and agentic task orchestration.

  1. Navigate to api.slack.com/apps ↗ and click Create New App.

  2. Select From an app manifest.

  3. Choose your target Slack Workspace.

  4. Paste the YAML/JSON manifest configuration provided for the workshop.

  5. Review and click Create.

  6. Under App-Level Tokens, click Generate Token and Scopes.

  7. Add connections:write scope and generate your App Token (prefixed with xapp-...).

  8. Install the app to your workspace and copy your Bot User OAuth Token (prefixed with xoxb-...).

  9. Copy your personal Member ID from your Slack profile.
